Rabindranath Tagore became a Nobel Laureate in 1913 in recognition of his poetic brilliance. His poetic work "Gitanjali" was especially venerated throughout Europe.

This prolific author wrote a number of dance dramas, plays, short stories and novels. He was also an artist.

The MBA Pusat Puja will be commemorating Sri Rabindranath Tagore’s Birthday on Saturday, June 4th; 2005.The programmes will be an evening of songs, dances and poetry based on Tagore’s works on love, devotion and nature.

It will be held at the Netaji Auditorium of the High Commission of India Malaysia, Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur.

The programmes will start at 8.00 pm and guests are expected to be seated by 7.30 PM.

This will be an evening to cherish for all Tagore’s admirers and definitely one not to be missed. Admission is by invitation cards only which can be obtained / reserved from

Classical Song Recital

The Pusat, in conjunction with Classical Vibes of KL is also presenting a classical song recital by Ms. Somashree Ghosh Dastidar at the Sangeetha Abhibiruthi Sabha
(Back of Vivekananda Hall) in Brickfields on Sunday, June 12, 2005 at 7.00 pm and admission is free.

Ms Somashree is an Engineer and has pursued classical music in the Gwalior gerhana and has performed in front of audiences all over India. Her performance here is
being sponsored by her father, Mr. Indrajit Ghosh Dastidar, who has many friends and relatives in Malaysia.
